Urban Morphology Walking Tour of OCHaley with Amy Stelly

Our Urban Morphology Walking Tour of OCHaley with Amy Stelly was a SOARING success. There were about 20 people, a mix of students, alums, and friends of this fun group. Amy gave us a tremendous perspective of the corridor from her childhood days and a history spanning Italian/Irish immigration, to the Civil Rights movement, to the present-day non-profit hub. She profiled numerous buildings' architecture styles and the diversity of uses that once encompassed the street, echoing Jane Jacobs urgency that in order for a city block to be healthy, it must have a diversity of uses at different times of the day. We are so grateful for this opportunity to have learned from Amy and look forward to featuring a different corridor in the future!
