APA Louisiana State Conference 2018

In early October 2018, the Louisiana state chapter of the American Planning Association sent the Crescent City Shapers and other UNO-PLUS students to Shreveport, LA for the "Face of Planning" state conference. Panelists at the conference included several UNO-PLUS alumni and covered topics ranging from promoting inclusiveness in preservation planning to flood recovery rental programs. The conference allowed CCS and PLUS students a glimpse into the world of professional planning and gave insight into how devoted planners are to keeping up with and addressing current issues.
