A Crash Course GIS Workshop

On Saturday, August 18, 2018, MURP Alum, Bobby Evans, led a GIS workshop for UNO PLUS students. He covered the basics of ArcGIS, introduced alternative mapping tools (such as Google MyMaps, the EPA Environmental Justice mapper, and the US Census OnTheMap tool.), and touched upon the interoperability of ArcGIS and the Adobe suite. The majority of attendees were beginners who had little to no experience in GIS, but they left with the knowledge of where to get good data and how to use it.

Bobby shared his knowledge of GIS and his experience as a professional Transit Planner.
The Shapers look forward to bringing you more quality events like this in the future.
